Keeyjay's are an independent family business, committed to providing thier customers with sauces which are created and produced using many years of experience with spices and ingredients from around the world, together with a hardworking, “foodie-driven” dedication which exists throughout the Keejays team.
Keeyjay's story begins with the pioneering spirit of our founder, Mr Kee Wah Lee. Mr Lee arrived in the UK from his family home in Kowloon, Hong Kong in 1957 and after a long career in the restaurant and take-away business, in 1985, together with his son Sammy, they saw an opportunity to supply Chinese supermarkets with curry sauce mixes for Chinese kitchens, under the Goldfish Brand. From humble beginnings in the back of the family take-away in Hadleigh the business grew and in 2005 we were very proud to move into our purpose built, freehold factory.
Over the years thier product portfolio has grown to incorporate many of the popular Chinese flavours and over the last few years they have used thier experience in creating Chinese sauces to widen our portfolio even further. They now produce a range of Chinese, Indian, European and even traditional British sauces. Flavours from around the world are is thier speciality.
"As a local business based in Hadleigh, Suffolk we realised that, although we had a customer base across the UK, we were not readily available to local East Anglian residents. We therefore spoke with the East of England Co-Op and were delighted to have some of our products placed on the shelves, so that local residents can purchase our sauces easily and at great value."
