We donated over £200,000 through our Community Cares Fund to help charities and community groups working for food justice for all, supporting people’s mental health and bringing communities back together. These grants will change the lives of more than 80,000 people across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
We awarded over £38,000 worth of sponsorships to local sports clubs, community events and charitable projects, alongside many donations to local community events. This year alone, this has reached people in around 500 different locations across the region.
We’ve donated £22,640 to foodbanks to help them support people in crisis, alongside many tonnes of product donations given by our customers in store. This has helped foodbanks respond to the growing numbers of people needing their support as the cost of living continues to rise.
Over the summer we joined forces with local community groups and gave out 100 litter picking packs to different groups to help tidy up our region. In total we collected over 900 bags of litter, working with community groups as well as our stores and branches.
We celebrated the 75th birthday of the NHS by hand delivering 75 packs of treats to GP practices, vaccination centres and care facilities NHS organisations nominated by our social media followers.
Our Funeral colleagues gave out 120 festive gifts to people experiencing a difficult Christmas after the passing of a loved one.
Thank you so much for your support; we couldn’t achieve this without you.
