Local community heroes set to be recognised this Christmas

People across the region are being asked to nominate exceptional individuals in their community for the chance to win them £250 of East of England Co-op store vouchers this Christmas.

The 'Win Christmas' initiative from local retailer the East of England Co-op recognises community heroes, individuals who have gone out of their way to support others. 

Previous winners have included a volunteer setting up a new community group for people to reconnect with each other, an advocate for a local foodbank and a community champion for the homeless. 

East of England Co-op Engagement Manager, Lynn Warner, said: "We know there are plenty of everyday heroes who go above and beyond to support others in their community, and this scheme is our way of saying thank you. With £250 of store vouchers up for grabs, our winning heroes have the chance to win everything they would need for a sumptuous festive celebration this year."

Nominators also stand the chance to win a £25 store voucher as a thank you if their community hero is chosen.
