Quiz night raises over £1,000 for local RNLI Station
The East of England Co-op Cromer Funeral branch brought together the local community for a quiz night, raising a fantastic £1,024 for the town's RNLI Lifeboat Station.
Supported by the Cliftonville Hotel, those who attended enjoyed an evening of fun games, a raffle and entertainment. Live music came from Jason McGinty, who is also a Funeral Director at the East of England Co-op's Cromer funeral branch. The 'games master' for the evening was Pat Nearney, aka "The Norfolk Nut", who kindly donated his time.
Mary Wilson, funeral arranger at the East of England Co-op's Cromer funeral branch said: "Hosting an event for the RNLI Lifeboat Station is part of our commitment to support the local community in any we can. This is very important to me as I have many wonderful childhood memories of growing up by the sea in Cromer."
The Cromer RNLI was established in 1804 and has been awarded 56 medals for gallantry during its history.
