Tiptree travel branch named one of the best-rated agents in UK and Ireland for second year running
For the second year running, a high street travel agency in Tiptree has been shortlisted as one of the best travel agencies in the British Isles.
The East of England Co-op Travel Tiptree branch, situated within ASDA’s supermarket on Church Road has been selected as one of the top five high street agencies in the East of England region, as part of a power-list of the nation’s best agents by the Travel Trade Gazette.
More than 900 travel agencies and branches put themselves forward for consideration for TTG’s Top 50 Travel Agencies 2018 – in association with Kuoni, from which 95 finalists across 19 categories have been shortlisted.
On 26 April 2018, the winning 50 agencies that have earned a place in the Top 50 list will be announced at a glittering ceremony at The Vox Centre in Birmingham.
TTG editor Pippa Jacks, said: “Now in its third year, our Top 50 Travel Agencies initiative takes us the length and breadth of the country to uncover stories of brilliant agents going the extra mile for their customers, giving great value, and serving their communities.
“With extremely tough competition once again this year, any high street agency that has made it on the shortlist should be extremely proud.
East of England Co-op Travel Tiptree branch manager, Lisa Lightly, said: “We’re so proud to have been shortlisted for the second year running.
“Last year the local community really got behind us, sending us cards and flowers to wish us luck. Even to be chosen as one of just five travel agents in the East of England is such an honour – if we make it on to the Top 50 list, it will be an incredible achievement for the team.”
The shortlisting stage was undertaken by a panel of travel suppliers including airlines, tour operators, cruise lines and car hire providers, who rated hopeful agencies according to their business performance, customer service and innovation. In the next stage of judging, a TTG journalist will visit each shortlisted agency to find out more ahead of selecting the overall winners.
The final Top 50 travel agents in the British Isles will be announced in April 2018.
