This September, six of our funeral team took part in a 33 mile cycle challenge to raise funds for the Time Garden at Colchester General Hospital.
This September, six of our funeral team took part in a 33 mile cycle challenge to raise funds for the Time Garden at Colchester General Hospital.
A peaceful and quiet place for patients coming to end of life to spend time alone or with their families, our team raised an incredible £1,300 to help towards the gardens development (and counting!)
Luke Harrison, Funeral Director at our Wimpole Road funeral branch, explained: “Many of the team took part as a personal thank you for the support Colchester Hospital has provided themselves and their families over the years. I myself cycled in memory of my Nan who passed away this year at the Hospital.
“The team and I are incredibly grateful for the donations and support we have received so far.”
As well as those who took to the road, colleagues also racked up more miles on static bikes at our Stanway food store.
