Hellesdon Funeral Service's Chapel of Rest Dedication

In this section

The community in Hellesdon came together for the dedication service of the East of England Co-op Funeral Service's Chapel of Rest on Friday 27 January.

The dedication was led by Reverend Louise Alder, Minister at St Mary's and St Paul's Church in Hellesdon.

Other guests included those from local care homes, hospices, representatives from charities, neighbours and other members of the funeral profession. Visitors took the opportunity to talk to the local funeral team over tea and cake at the warm and welcoming premises. They were also able to chat with the bereavement support counsellors and meet the civil celebrant.

Funeral Arranger, Frances Tallent, said: “It was great to see so many friendly faces at the dedication service. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know members of the community so far and we’re proud to be able to help local residents when they need it most.”

If you were unable to make it to the open day, the Hellesdon funeral branch operates an ‘open door’ policy. Everyone is welcome to call in for expert advice on funeral arrangements, guidance on monumental masonry, bereavement support, pre-paid funeral plans – or a quick hello.

Local families have been putting their trust in the East of England Co-op Funeral Services for over 90 years, and are proud to provide excellent levels of service, care and reassurance when it’s needed most. Over that time, they’ve learnt that in a difficult situation it’s the little things that count.

The East of England Co-op Hellesdon Funeral branch is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, with a free care line available every hour of every day on 0800 0744362.

If you would like to arrange a meeting, please call in to the branch or you can contact the team directly on 01603 580190.
