Your Co-op Live – Mental Health Matters

In this section

Our latest Your Co-op Live event, titled ‘Mental Health Matters,’ will be taking place on Thursday 3 November.

The online event will feature experts from Suffolk Mind, Ipswich Town Football Club (ITFC) Foundation and Suffolk Libraries, along with a cooking demonstration from chef Charlie Hodson, all giving advice to improve mental health.

The event will be live streamed from Ipswich County Library on our YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn channels at 6pm.

Niall O’Keeffe, Joint Chief Executive at the East of England Co-op said “With the cost-of-living crisis at the forefront of people’s minds, we wanted to create a show to offer tangible and useful advice for mental health during difficult times. We are grateful to be joined by some experts in their field to share their best advice on mental wellbeing, including sleep, diet and physical activity, which we hope will give viewers lots to take away and incorporate into their lifestyles.”

The guests taking part in this event include Head of Education at Suffolk Mind and a Humans Givens therapist, Ezra Hewing, discussing the importance of sleep to your mental health. Alongside Ezra will be Callum Murphy, Head of Participation and Development at the ITFC Foundation, a charity set-up to deliver a range of sporting events, who will be talking about the benefits of physical activity. Bruce Leeke, Chief Executive at Suffolk Libraries will chat through what support is available to local communities over the winter. The online event will finish with a cookery demonstration and talk from Norfolk chef, Charlie Hodson.
