Most successful year to date for Santa’s Suitcase campaign

Kind-hearted communities have donated a record breaking 625 toys through our Travel branches to East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH) this Christmas.

Travel teams cross Suffolk and Essex have been encouraging communities to help them fill Santa’s Suitcase throughout December, an annual campaign that over the years has seen thousands of games, books and cuddly toys donated by local people.

Caroline Thorne, Travel Manager for the East of England Co-op, said: “Once again we’ve been truly overwhelmed by the kindness shown by our members, customers and local families.

“We would like to thank each and every one of you who donated something this winter. It is wonderful to think of how much joy these gifts will bring to the children at EACH this Christmas.”
