These days it is rare to find a family-owned business that‘s still genuinely family-run. But not at the Maldon Salt Company. Today, the company is in the hands of Steve Osborne, who follows in the footsteps of his father Clive, grandfather Cyril and great-grandfather James. Four generations of master salt makers have been hand-harvesting gourmet salt flakes in Essex with the same traditional artisan methods since 1882.
