Local families have been putting their trust in the East of England Co-op Funeral Services for over 90 years, and now more people can access their excellent levels of service, care and reassurance when it’s needed most, with the opening of a new branch in Clacton-on-Sea.

Situated on Station Road, the branch opened its doors to the public on 6 February. With a welcoming reception area and a calm and comforting arranging room, the new branch provides expert guidance on monumental masonry, bereavement support and pre-paid funeral plans for those looking to plan ahead for peace of mind.

Funeral Director, Maria Leach, said: “As the local independent co-operative at the heart of the community, we know it’s the little things that make a difference and we are delighted to be able to extend this expert service through the opening of our second funeral branch in Clacton.”

Emma Lepley, who manages the branch, said: “I’m so proud to be arranging funerals in this new Clacton branch. I’m looking forward to meeting members of the local community and supporting families in their time of need.”

The East of England Co-op continues to play a pivotal role for residents, with a weekly bereavement support group meeting held every Thursday at the United Reformed Church Hall on Carnarvon Road and the much-loved annual Tree to Remember Carol Concert.

Local residents are encouraged to call in for a chat and see the welcoming premises first hand. The East of England Co-op Funeral Services’ Clacton-on-Sea branch is open Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.00pm, with a 24 hour on call service available.
