A record-breaking 19,392 votes were cast across the region, both in-store and online, by our members and customers this year. This is the largest number of votes that the East of England Co-op has seen for Producer of the Year since it began in 2011!

We can now reveal our County Winners are Great Tilkey Honey for Essex, Alder Tree for Suffolk and Krusty Loaf for Norfolk.  You can find out more about our all three winners here

Kevin Warden, Local Sourcing and Fresh Product Manager for the East of England Co-op, said: “Congratulations to our three county winners and the best of luck for the final round, they have all worked incredibly hard. All of our Sourced Locally suppliers have put in so much hard work over the last year and have kept us well stocked with lots of delicious food and drink.

“These awards are a celebration of local farmers, growers and producers across the region and an opportunity for our customers and members to share with us which products they have enjoyed most. The phenomenal number of votes we received this year surpassed all previous years and reflects how important local produce is to our communities.”

Michael Coe from Great Tilkey Honey, Stephany Hardingham from Alder Tree Cream Ices and Nick Henry from Krusty Loaf Bakery will now be visited by a panel of food and farming experts who will select the overall Producer of the Year, to be announced at our annual Supplier Supper in March.
