Our Sourced Locally pie producers share their favourite pies for British Pie Week.

It’s British Pie Week (1-7 March) and what’s not to love about a whole week dedicated to cooking and eating pies?

We are celebrating by showcasing two of our local pie producers; Norfolk based bakery Pastry Cutters and Suffolk pie and pastry creators Hollybush Farm Produce Ltd

When it comes to British pie recipes there’s no shortage of options to indulge in - whether it’s a savoury classic like the humble pork pie or a comforting slice of apple pie.

As the pie experts, we wanted to know what our local pie producers’ all-time favourite pies were – find out what they will be treating themselves to this British Pie Week.

Pastry Cutters

Norfolk based bakery Pastry Cutters has been producing an award-winning range of handmade and hand-finished pies, cakes and pastries for over thirty-five years, working from traditional family recipes. Company director Richard Hadley and his son Jonathan are ensuring that artisan skills and expertise continue to be passed along.

Steeped in history, Pastry Cutters’ pastry recipe has been passed down generations from Richard’s grandmother and Jonathan’s great grandmother.

This British Pie Week, Jonathan will be tucking into his favourite pie; which is the classic, hearty steak and Guinness with shortcrust pastry.

Hollybush Farm Produce Ltd

Hollybush Farm Produce Ltd lovingly create pies and pastries from the heart of East Anglia. Priding themselves in handmade, high quality products they hand prepare and cook their pies and pastries daily.

Suffolk based Hollybush Farm Produce Ltd use flour which is harvested from wheat fields across East Anglia and the meat used in their fillings is sourced from local farms in South Norfolk and North Suffolk.

For British Pie Week Hollybush Farm Produce Ltd owner Mark will be paying homage to the good old-fashioned British classic, their very own and steak and kidney pie.
