Widow Twankey pops to the Co-op this Christmas

With just one week to go before the first performance of this year’s Gorleston Pantomime, Widow Twankey popped to her local Co-op in Magdalen Way to get all her last minute essentials.

This Christmas, the Gorleston Pavilion Theatre will be playing host to the Ohyesitiz production of the traditional family pantomime, Aladdin. Written and directed by National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company actor Desmond Barrit, the show promises to be full of laughs, colourful costumes and fast-paced action.

As official sponsors of this year’s pantomime, we have had a bespoke outfit created by costume designer Mike Friend for Widow Twankey to wear as part of the show! And with 46 performances running from Wednesday 7 December to Saturday 31 December, there is still a chance to book a seat and join in the festive fun.

Roger Grosvenor, Joint Chief Executive for the East of England Co-op said; “It has been a pleasure to support the Gorleston Pavilion pantomime this year, which we know is a well-loved and much anticipated event for so many local people in the lead up to Christmas. We’re really impressed with Widow Twankey’s East of England Co-op inspired outfit and can’t wait to see her up on stage!”
