New East of England Co-op Funeral Service Branch for Ely
Local families have been putting their trust in our Funeral Services for over 90 years, and now more people can access our excellent levels of service, care and reassurance when it’s needed most, with the opening of our first Cambridgeshire branch, in Ely.
The new Ely branch on Prickwillow Road opened its doors to the public on 4th November. It has a welcoming reception area and a Chapel of Rest where families can take time to reflect and spend time with their loved ones in a private, peaceful and comfortable space, no matter what their belief.
Claire Needs, who manages the new branch, has lived in Littleport, just outside Ely, for more than a decade so is a familiar friendly face. As well as advice on pre-paid funeral plans, masonry and bereavement support, Claire brings her personal, considerate approach to her role as Funeral Arranger.
She’s able to provide expert guidance every step of the way, on everything from pre-paid funeral plans for those thinking ahead, to masonry and bereavement support.
Claire said: “The loss of a loved one can be distressing; we do everything we can to make things a little easier, ensure people’s loved ones’ last wishes are fulfilled and to make sure the funeral is unique and reflects the individual. It’s the little things that count.
“I’m proud to be involved in the East of England Funeral Services’ first Cambridgeshire branch and I’m looking forward to meeting the local community and supporting those in need with our respectful and personal approach.

Our Ely branch is open Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with a 24hour on call service available.
