East of England Co-op to hold third virtual remembrance event

East of England Co-op Funeral Services will hold its annual remembrance event once again this winter, on Thursday 1 December at 7pm.

The service, titled, “Your Co-op Live: Christmas Remembrance”, will take place virtually for the third time following positive feedback in previous years.

Head of Funeral Services at East of England Co-op, Sarah Steels, said: “We’ll be continuing with the virtual approach as it’s more widely accessible across our whole region and gives people the opportunity to show their emotion in the privacy of their own home.

“The event will focus on the theme of remembrance and the different ways in which we can keep loved ones with us. Alongside festive musical performances, we'll have a speaker from Suffolk Mind and two of our own funeral colleagues.”

The remembrance event is one of the many ways that we give back to our customers and members, supporting those who are grieving and celebrating the lives of those who have passed away. Funeral clients who have lost a loved one in the last two years have already been invited to the virtual service, but the event is open to anyone to attend. You can register here!

Attendees can choose to dedicate a candle to a loved one, which will be lit in their memory at the service. Alternatively, those who are watching will have the option to leave a comment during the live stream if they wish.

The event will be recorded and will be available to watch on-demand on our website from December 5 until the New Year.
