Our Wimpole Road funeral branch in Colchester is home to our unique service chapel, which provides a light and modern setting for the funeral service of your loved one. 

Tailor the service by making use of our Obitus music system and host up to 100 guests with onsite parking and flexible service slots available Monday to Friday.

This option is ideal if you’re looking to host the funeral service but then have a burial at an alternate location.

Wimpole Road Chapel Service Fees

This service can be selected as an additional service to either our Attended Funeral or Traditional Funeral packages. 

Other additional fees might include: Third-party disbursement payments such as
celebrant, minister or alternative faith representative, doctors fees.

What's included

  • Full use of our service chapel for 1 hour.
  • Use of our Obitus music system where you can select any music to be played during the funeral service, and display a photo of your loved one throughout.
  • We’ll take care of any floral tributes for 2 working days after the funeral service, where they can be collected between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Tributes not collected during this time will be disposed of.

  • Use of other photo and slideshow services from our Obitus system.
  • Webcasting of the funeral service.

Your Funeral Arranger will prepare a personalised quotation based on the choices youn make.

Service Chapel and Cremation Service

This service package includes the cremation which will take place locally following the funeral service. This is a cost-effective alternative to having the funeral service at the crematorium itself.
