Our Foodbank Support

As a co-operative, we're working together with trusted partners including local foodbanks to ensure that everyone has access to good, nutritious food.

We support 25 independent, Salvation Army and Trussell Trust foodbanks across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire through fundraising in our stores and by raising awareness of their vital work to help people in crisis across our trading region. Customers are also able to donate food or hygiene products in all of our food stores.

Find your local store and which foodbank they support with our handy checker here.

If you're looking for support for a community project that provides access to good, healthy food, you may be eligible for funding through our Community Cares Fund. Find out more about the Community Cares Fund and how you could apply here.

Please note, we do not provide support for groups or projects which charge a fee of any size in return for collecting bags of food, including pop up shops, top up shops or food pantries.

We are committed to reducing our food waste. Food with a 'best before' date is offered at a reduced rate through our fantastic 'Too Good to Go' service and our innovative 'Guide to Dating' scheme. Any food with a ‘use by’ date is sent to anaerobic digestion, converting it into biogas and compost fertiliser for growing more great food. For this reason, we do not offer donations of fresh food or food waste to be redistributed in the community.
