East of England Co-op announces opening date of brand-new Kesgrave Food store
Community retailer, East of England Co-op, has shared the opening date for its brand-new Food store in Kesgrave. The store situated at the aptly named Pioneer Yard, Hartree Way on Grange Farm will open at 7am on Thursday 15 October.
East of England Co-op has worked with local contractors Elliston Steady and Hawes to construct the store from the ground up, as well as Essex-based contractor Forum Contracts to complete the in-store fit-out.
The new 3,000 sq ft store, managed by local resident and long-standing East of England Co-op colleague, Tina Page, has created 22 new jobs in Kesgrave, many of which have been filled by residents of the Grange Farm estate.
East of England Co-op's Kesgrave Food store will stock everyday essentials as well as an extensive food-to-go offering including coffee-to-go, Fwip ice cream as well as the retailer’s popular in-store bakery and hot food offering. The store will also offer parcel services from Evri.
Branch Manager, Tina Page, said: "I'm so excited to open the doors to our brand-new store in a brand-new community. I think the local residents of Kesgrave will love what our store has to offer.
"As well as our fantastic Food store, we're a community retailer and we'll be bringing our community support programmes; Community Cares Fund, Local Giving and Small Donations. Information for all of those can be found on our website.”
The new store which opens on Thursday 15 October, will be open 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.
As a member-owned business, the East of England Co-op is committed to supporting the communities it serves, while building a strong future as an independent and sustainable retailer.
