The East of England Co-op has announced its new East Bergholt Food store is set to open this summer on Wednesday 30 July.
The brand-new East of England Co-op Food store, situated in the new Hills Residential housing development, will replace the current food store on The Street. Colleagues from the The Street store will transfer to the new Food store.
Following a public consultation, the Post Office services will also transfer to the new larger store, which will benefit from a greater range of products, including food-to-go, and ample on-site parking.
Andy Rigby, Chief Executive Officer for the East of England Co-op said: “Continuing to support the community of East Bergholt is vital to us here at the East of England Co-op. We’re looking forward to being able provide a brand-new, larger and more modern store that matches the growth within the village.
“This exciting new location will offer an improved shopping experience, featuring a modern, spacious layout and the added convenience of on-site parking. Plus, our fantastic colleagues from The Street store will be joining us.
“We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome the community to this fresh new space.”
The East of England Co-op is owned by its members and is driven by its commitment to supporting local communities. The retailer, which has donated over £1 million to good causes over the last three years, is currently fundraising for more than 100 charities across East Anglia, including St Mary’s Church in East Bergholt which provides food bank support to those in need.
