Tea 4 KeyWorkers

After a fantastic amount of nominations, we randomly selected and delivered festive tea packs to 30 keyworker organsations throughout our region.

Unpaid Carers Support

Recognising the contribution of unpaid carers and properly supporting them has never been more important than during this pandemic.

There are thousands caring round the clock without the practical support they would normally rely on to take a break, while others face increased costs accessing food and care products.

Tea 4 Teachers ☕👩‍🏫

With the return of the school year in September, we wanted to show our appreciation for the dedication and hard work shown by our local schools and their staff.

With 50 packs of tea-riffic treats available we asked people to nominate their local schools for a chance to win one of these yummy packs.

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Weekend 😃😃

The Community Team were at the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Weekend at the end of September! The team ran a competition for attendees to win a Sourced Locally Hamper, gave out some Sourced Locally goodies and informed attendees of our support to local foodbanks and local producers.

A fantastic and well run weekend by the Aldeburgh organisers!

Don't Be A Tosser

BBC Radio Suffolk relaunched their Don’t Be A Tosser campaign in an effort to Keep Suffolk Clean.

The East of England Co-op were delighted to join forces and become official supporters.

We also co-ordinated a number of litter picks throughout the county.

Helping to combat holiday hunger in our local communities 🥫🍽️

Despite the government announcement to extend the free school meal voucher scheme, it is likely the planned end to the job retention scheme and the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the economy and local businesses, will see an increase in demand for foodbanks over the summer holidays.

Dedham Litter Pick

Roger Grosvenor, Joint Chief Executive and Mark Lewenz, Retail Project Manager, braved the wet and windy weather and managed to collect a wide variety of litter as part of our support for the BBC Suffolk's Don't Be A Tosser Campaign.

Pickerel Project - Stowmarket Litter Pick

25 volunteers from the Pickerel Project in Stowmarket were joined by our Community Engagement team to carry out a socially distanced litter pick and clean up along the River Gipping in the town. Over 140 kg of waste was collected.

Suffolk Army Cadet Force

We’re thrilled to have been able to donate some goodies to the Suffolk Army Cadet Force! 😄😄

The Cadets have been working tirelessly in the past months to support their communities during the lockdown. In the below video you can see Lt. Carlton explaining some of the fantastic things the Cadets have been doing.
