Design a community superhero for our community shopper bags
We’re inviting children aged 4–11 to create their very own Community Superhero and show us how they could make their local community kinder, happier or better.
Every store will choose a winner to receive a prize, before four overall winning designs are selected to feature on limited-edition shopper bags in our Food stores in 2027, helping to support local charities.
£10,000 of profits from the bags, which are available to buy for £1 at all our Food stores, will go to our Community Cares Fund.
Supporting our communities
Making a positive local impact is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to support more than 1,200 causes across the East of England.
The competition is taking place during autumn, when donations made in our stores help support our Community Cares Fund. The fund backs a wide range of vital community projects across East Anglia and has awarded more than 360 grants since 2020.
When the limited-edition bags go on sale, £10,000 of the profits will be donated to our Community Cares Fund, helping us continue to support local causes and the people who give their time and energy to their communities.

Meet our previous winners
We ran a competition asking local children (aged 4-11) to design us a bag celebrating the theme of kindness and caring for others.
The teams at each of our stores picked a local winner, six of these were then chosen to feature on the bags.
