Work to build seven new homes as part of development of Kings Chase, Witham begins
Work has begun on a new housing development in Kings Chase Witham. The development, by the East of England Co-op, will consist of four 3-bedroom houses with gardens, two 2-bedroom flats and one 1-bedroom flat, with all the properties having access to a parking space each.
Kings Chase is off Newland Street in Witham town centre, with lots of amenities in close proximity. The new homes will be available for rent in early 2026.
Stuart McDonald, Chief Property Officer for the East of England Co-op, said: “As a community retailer, local people are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m pleased that our co-op is providing new homes for the Witham community. This is an exciting project, and it is a privilege to be able to regenerate an unused area of a busy town.”
Partnering the East of England Co-op and completing the building work on the properties are local construction firm, Elliston Steady and Hawes. A spokesperson for Elliston Steady and Hawes commented: “We are very pleased to once again be working in partnership with the East of England Co-op property team to construct and develop the Kings Chase site into valuable new properties for the local community. We will work closely with local businesses, subcontractors, and suppliers to help deliver these local homes.”
