Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about our products and services

Before you can start making funeral arrangements there are certain people you need to tell as soon as possible if someone has died. If someone has died at home, you should contact the deceased's GP and their nearest relative (if that's not you). If you need support you can call our 24hr careline on 0808 303 4933.

Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy and there's a lot to think about when making funeral arrangements. We'll support you every step of the way with expert advice to guide you through the process of arranging a funeral.

Arranging a funeral happens after someone has died. It involves making all the decisions about the funeral, like choosing a coffin, organising the service, and sorting out transport and flowers. This is usually done by a family member or close friend, and payment is made at the time of the funeral. Buying a funeral plan is something you do in advance, while you're still alive. It lets you choose the type of funeral you’d like and pay for it ahead of time, either in full or in instalments. This can help take the pressure off your loved ones when the time comes and means your wishes are already known.

Terms and conditions apply to funeral plans – please ask for details. There is an additional cost for paying by instalments over two or more years. Eligibility criteria applies. Please refer to the Instalment Q&A and the Terms and Conditions for more information. We can provide you with a personalised quote.
