Heart-Shaped Pancakes
Serves: 2-3 pancakes
Age: 5+ (with adult help for cooking)
Ingredients:
- 100g Co-op self-raising flour
- 1 Co-op Free Range Medium egg
- 150ml Co-op Semi Skimmed Milk
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- A little butter or oil for the pan
Instructions:
- Put the flour, egg, and milk into a mixing bowl.
- Whisk everything together slowly until the mixture is smooth with no lumps.
- Ask an adult to help heat a frying pan on a low to medium heat and add a small bit of butter or oil to stop it sticking.
- Carefully pour the batter into the pan, making a heart shape or use a heart-shaped mould if you have one.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes, watching for little bubbles to appear on the surface.
- When the edges look set, ask an adult to help flip it over carefully.
- Cook for another minute until golden and cooked through.
- Lift out of the pan, place on a plate, and serve warm with love for Mum.

- A drizzle of Co-op Squeezy honey or maple syrup

- Use a spoon or squeezy bottle to draw the heart shape.
