Meet Fergus!

Fergus Fitzgerald, Head of Production at Adnams, joined Adnams in 2004 as Assistant Brewer, becoming Head Brewer in 2008. Fergus helped to install a new modern brewhouse in 2007, adding a distillery, new tank farm, kegging line and most recently a de-alcoholiser to make their famous Ghost Ship 0.5%.

Meet our hosts!

Established in 1872, Adnams is best known for its beer brewed in picturesque Southwold, but it also owns and runs pubs and hotels, makes handcrafted spirits and operates Cellar & Kitchen stores as well.

The business was originally founded by George and Ernest Adnams, with the help of their father. Today, under the watchful eye of current chairman Jonathan Adnams, the company continues to brew a distinctive range of authentic beers, with product names and packaging inspired by the beautiful Suffolk coastline.

Adnams has become one of the most respected brewers in the country and it's well known for both its strong environmental ethos and its commitment to working closely with local farmers and brewers. Our customers have long had the opportunity to buy Adnams’ bottled beers as part of our Sourced Locally range and they're amongst our best selling products.
