When is voting taking place?

Voting for this year's Election of Directors will take place from the week commencing 13th April 2026. Both postal and online votes must be received by Civica by noon on 20th May 2026.

Who can vote?

To take part in the Election of Directors, members must meet the voting eligibility criteria.


You're eligible to vote if you:

  • have £1 or more in your share account, and
  • have been a member for at least six months or more at the start of our election

How to vote

If you're eligible to vote, you'll receive either:

  • an email with a link to our secure online voting portal
  • postal ballot papers if you have registered to vote by post (received week commencing 13th April 2026)


On your ballot, you'll be able to read each candidate's statement and cast your vote.

What candidates were asked to share

As part of this year's nomination process, candidates were invited to outline the skills, experience and perspectives they would bring to the Board. This may include:


Board oversight skills

Experience that supports the long-term success of a co-operative. This could include financial understanding, governance experience, people leadership, performance oversight, change management or other relevant experience.


Personal attributes and lived or professional experience

Commitment to co-operative values and the communities we serve. This may include experience from work, volunteering or community roles, as well as experience of listening, constructive challenge and open discussion.


There are no 'right' backgrounds. A strong Board includes people with different experiences and ways of thinking.


Please take the time to read about each candidate before casting your vote. Both postal and online voting are managed by independent election specialists, Civica, who are regulated by the Electoral Commission.


If you've previously registered but haven't received your online or postal voting form, please contact Civica on 0208 889 9203 or email support@cesvotes.com, who'll arrange for this to be sent to you.


Both postal and online votes must be received by Civica by noon on 20th May 2026.

The 2026 Election of Director results

The results of this year's Election of Directors will be announced at our Annual Members' Meeting on 21st May 2026. We'll share the results on our website and in-store following the announcement.
