Work to begin onsite at brand-new East of England Co-op Food store and Travel branch in Hellesdon
The East of England Co-op has confirmed that work is set to begin next week on its new Hellesdon Food store and Travel branch, ahead of opening this December.
As part of the project, the East of England Co-op will launch its first Travel branch in Norfolk, which will be situated within the larger, modern store, as it continues to build on the success and growth of its Travel business across the region.
The upgraded food store, which is moving to the site of the former Broadland Snooker Hall, will offer an extended product range, including an improved food-to-go offering. All current colleagues, along with Post Office services, will move to the new location.
Andy Rigby, Chief Executive Officer for the East of England Co-op, said: “We’re delighted to be starting work on this project in Hellesdon. It represents a real investment in the community, creating a bigger, better food store and introducing our Travel service to Norfolk for the first time.
“This is about giving local people more choice, convenience and trusted support, whether they are shopping close to home or planning their next holiday.”
The East of England Co-op is owned by its members and remains committed to investing in and serving its local communities. Further updates on the progress at Hellesdon will be shared in the coming weeks.
