Our Wimpole Road Funeral branch is home to our state-of-the-art Service Hall, which provides a light and modern setting to celebrate the life of your loved one.
With room for up to 100 family and friends, fully accessible facilities and plenty of parking on site, our Service Hall is an elegant and comfortable space to host your farewell.
Our Obitus music system gives you the option to tailor the service, and you can also live stream to those who are unable to attend.
The Service Hall is available for both religious and non-religious services, and with flexible service slots available Monday to Friday you can host your service at a time that suits you.

Our Wimpole Road Service Chapel allows us to support you every step of your journey
Located at 89 Wimpole Road, Colchester, Essex, CO1 2DB, our Service Chapel is easily accesible, with on-site parking to accomodate family and friends. The Service Chapel is just a 10 minute drive from Colchester train station and the A12 or A120 can be reached within 15 minutes.
Our Service Hall Provides:
- Room for up to 80 family and friends
- Fully accessible facilities for ease and comfort
- On-site parking
- Flexible service slots Monday to Friday
- On-site rest room
- Availability for both religious and non-religious funerals and celebrations of life
- A fully integrated music system
- Digital screens to allow you to personalise your service with images
- The option to live stream the service to those who are unable to attend in person
Our Wimpole Road Service Chapel offers two affordable services:
Service and Cremation
A cost-effective way to arrange a complete funeral service. This service package includes the cremation, which will take place locally following the funeral service.
Service-Only
An ideal option for those who wish to host the funeral service and then have a burial at an alternative location. You will have full use of our service hall for 1 hour.
Both of these services can be selected as an additional service to either our Attended Funeral or Traditional Funeral packages.
