We're pleased that, despite a tough year, our members voted to distribute a dividend of £750,000 for our 2022/23 financial year. The motion was voted on at our Annual Members' Meeting held in May 2023. (Find out more here).
If members have earned £5 or more in dividend, they'll receive dividend cheques in the post. Dividend will be landing on our members' doormats throughout July 2023.
Those members who've earned less than £5 in dividend will not receive dividend cheques, however the dividend value earned isn't lost - it will be carried over into next year.
(Please wait until the beginning of August for your dividend to have arrived before contacting our Member Support team.)
Three ways to use your dividend in 2023
Spend
If you’d like to keep your dividend so that you can spend it in store, you don’t need to do anything. Just pop to your local East of England Co-op with your cheques and your green membership card to spend them.
Deposit
If you’d like to deposit your dividend into your share account, put the dividend cheques you wish to deposit in the pre-paid envelope provided and pop them in the post – we’ll take care of the rest.
Please allow some time for this to be processed, we'll confirm when this is ready for withdrawal if you choose to do so. You can find out how to withdraw funds here.
Donate
Our Community Cares Fund provides much needed support to local organisations helping those most in need in our community. Thanks to our members, in the last year we've donated more than £200,000 to help local communities in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
If you'd like to donate some or all your dividend, simply take your dividend cheques into your local East of England Co-op Food store and hand them over to the colleagues at the till, letting them know you'd like to donate them to the Fund.
