Challenge 25 Policy

We operate a Challenge 25 policy for products we restrict by age. If a colleague believes you appear to be under the age of 25, you will be asked to produce a valid form of identification to prove you are over the required age before being sold the age-restricted item(s).

We accept the following forms of identification:

  • Passport
  • Photo Driving Licence
  • Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) accredited card
  • National Identification Card
  • British Armed Forces Identity Card

To be valid, ID must be in date and a colleague may refuse to accept the ID if they believe it is not genuine or has been tampered with.

Please note that we do not accept digital identification for proof of age.

If our colleagues believe you are buying age-restricted products for someone underage, then we will not sell the items in accordance with our legal responsibility.  If you are sold restricted products and seen giving them to an underage person, we will inform the Police.

We take our responsibility regarding the sale of age-restricted products seriously. If you feel that our refusal to serve you was unfair, please contact our Customer Support team using our online enquiry form.
