A quiet visit

In this section

Our quiet visit option offers you the choice between burial or cremation for your loved one, without a formal funeral service or ceremony.

Your loved one will be cared for in one of our Chapels of Rest. They’ll be prepared for burial or cremation and can be dressed in a simple gown or your choice of their own clothes, if you prefer. By appointment you can visit and spend time with your loved one at one of our Chapels of Rest during our weekday opening hours.

Your loved one will be taken to your chosen local crematorium, or your chosen final resting place for burial, in one of our hearses by our team of professional Funeral Bearers. If you choose a cremation, your loved one’s cremated remains will be returned to your local East of England Co-op Funeral Services branch for collection. This funeral service does not include any form of ceremony, and you’ll be unable to attend your loved one’s cremation or burial.
