In line with the latest Government guidance, as of 00:01hrs on 26th December 2020, both our Travel branches and HL Perfitt Showrooms across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire are now closed until further notice.

We are working closely with tour operators and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to ensure we are providing our customers the best support. 

Our Food stores, Forecourts and Funeral branches will remain open under existing social distancing guidelines.

However, hours may change due to circumstances out of our control. We therefore would encourage our members and customers to please check the opening times of their local store or branch before visiting in case of any changes.

It is our top priority to keep our customers and colleagues safe. We are committed to keeping our stores and branches COVID secure, but we can't do this without you. 

To help us to help you, we ask for the commitment of our members and customers in supporting the measures we are taking to keep our branches safe and open. 

To help us to help you, we ask that you please adhere to the following guidlines, when visiting our Food stores, Supermarkets, Forecourts, Funeral branches and other retail spaces:

Face coverings

To keep customers and our colleagues safe, face coverings must be worn in our stores and branches, unless you are exempt. If a colleague asks you to put on a mask, this is to protect you and everyone who enters our store. Thank you for supporting our colleagues who are working tirelessly to provide a vital service to our communities throughout this crisis. 

Social distancing

When you visit us, you will see signs and reminders about social distancing. Please keep a 2-metre distance from other customers and our colleagues at all times. Thank you for your support with this, following social distancing guidelines will help to keep you and our colleagues safe. 

To help maintain social distancing, we will be restricting the number of customers in store where necessary. To help keep store numbers at a safe level, please wait outside while we manage the number of customers in our stores and branches for everyone's safety and shop alone where possible. 

Hand hygiene

Please continue to follow good hand hygiene practices. To help with this, there are hand sanitiser stations in place at our stores and branches.

The actions we take now will have a significant impact on how we pull through this crisis and we know we will have your support for the measures we are taking to keep our communities safe.

Frequently asked questions & answers

  • Online shopping & home deliveries

    Whilst we're currently not in a position to provide online shopping from all our Food stores, we have introduced Snappy Shopper to a number of our branches allowing customers to order online for delivery or Click and Collect. You can find out more here. 

    We're unable to accept payment for goods over the phone.

  • Special shopping sessions

    We have no plans at the moment to alter our opening hours or offer special shopping sessions for particular groups of people. We want to keep our stores open and accessible to everyone as they prepare for the coming weeks and months.

  • Stock levels

    Whilst the situation is currently under review, at this time we have no purchasing restrictions in place. We please ask that visitors to our stores only buy what they need. There's plenty for everyone and we continue to receive regular deliveries. As a community retailer, many older and vulnerable people rely on our services, so please help us to help them.

  • Vouchers

    We are now accepting money off and promotional vouchers again

    We are also accepting the following: 

    • Newspaper Subscription vouchers
    • Local Welfare & Assistance in Suffolk vouchers
    • Warm Home Healthy People vouchers
    • Healthy Start vouchers
    • East of England Co-op gift vouchers

    If you would like to buy gift vouchers in order to purchase goods for a community group or to buy food for someone who is self-isolating, you can do so by emailing us at 

  • School meal vouchers (national voucher scheme)

    In common with all Independent Cooperative Societies, we cannot currently accept the electronic National School Vouchers issued by Edenred since we do not have the technical capability at our till points.

    We understand that schools have a responsibility to support pupils who may not be able to access stores that are not part of national programme.  Schools can purchase paper vouchers to use in East of England Co-op stores, please email 

  • Member cards & receipts

    We’re accepting membership cards again.

    While keeping hold of your card, please present the barcode on the back to the till operator. If your card won’t scan, the till operator will not make contact with it. If this happens, please keep your receipts so that your dividend points can be added at a later date. 

    What to do with collected receipts
    If you still have shopping receipts from the period we were unable to accept membership cards, please follow the relevant guidance below: 

    • If the receipt is less than 14 days old - Please take into your local store along with your member's card and the points will be awarded. 
    • If the receipt is older than 14 days - Please contact our Member Support team, either by email at or call 0800 389 5354 (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm). You will be sent a pre-paid envelope for you to return your receipts - along with your name, address and membership number - and the points will be credited to your account. 


  • Discounts and offers

    We are currently not providing any discounts or offers to groups or organisations. 

    In the summer of 2020, we were pleased to be able to support our local NHS staff and carers, providing over £365,000 worth of discount. 

    We thank them for their continued hard work and efforts, and thank them in turn for supporting a local business.
