ActivLives (Ipswich & East Suffolk):

A charity working to improve wellbeing through community gardens, lunch clubs, health walks and chair-based exercise sessions. 

Age Well East:

A charity supporting older people and their loved ones, including dementia cafes and bereavement support. 

Colchester Youth Enquiry Service:

Support for young people in Essex, including teenage pregnancy, counselling and benefits advice. 

Communities Together East Anglia:

Community-based support for older and vulnerable people, including transport services, carers network and later life support services.   

Dance Network Association (Colchester and surrounds):

Providing specialist all-age dance classes for everyone, including those living with Parkinson’s and dementia. 

Disability Advice Service East Suffolk:

Free, independent advice for people living with a disability and their carers. Support includes debt advice, housing and benefits applications support. 

Disability Advice North East Suffolk:

Free, impartial help and advice, including benefits, housing and employment. Home visits available. 

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice:

Support for families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, including bereavement counselling. 

Eden’s Project (Sudbury, Great Conard and surrounds):

Youth centre offering youth club and additional support services. 

Family First (Ipswich):

Support for families facing a variety of personal, social and economic challenges, including divorce.  

Gatehouse Caring East Anglia:

A charity providing free support for vulnerable people in and around Bury St Edmunds. Includes furniture re-use, a food bank and elderly day services. 

Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Young Carers:

Support for young people aged 8-25 who are caring for their parents or another family member. Confidence building and social activities including paint balling, swimming and bowling. 

Harleston Information Plus:  

Community-based support for people in Harleston and surrounds, including skills development for employment, food bank and carers group.  

Headway: 

Rehabilitation programmes, carer support and respite care for those living with acquired brain injury and their families. 

Henderson Trust: 

Charity providing a range of support for people living in North Earlham, West Earlham, Larkman and Marlpit  in Norwich. 

Home-Start: 

Specialist support for families experiencing a range of financial or personal issues.  

Inspire Suffolk: 

A charity supporting the personal development of young people including skills development, mentoring and sports. 

MAZE Group (Colchester and Tendring): 

SEND parenting support including free monthly drop-in sessions, peer support and practical advice. 

Men’s Sheds Association:  

Providing opportunities to develop practical skills and hobbies, all whilst connecting with others in a friendly, positive environment. 

Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing: 

Animal-assisted therapy for people with life-limiting conditions. Virtual and in-person visits offered. 

Nelson’s Journey (Norfolk): 

Child bereavement support for young people affected by the death of a loved one. 

New-U Enterprises Ltd: 

Social enterprise providing mentoring, employment opportunities and skills development for young people facing a variety of challenges, including ASD and anxiety.  

Off the Record Counselling Service (Norfolk): 

Affordable counselling and psychotherapy for anyone aged 18+ years. Please note, their list is closed until Jan 2023, however you can visit their website to register your interest in their services. 

Open Road (Essex): 

Drug and alcohol recovery service in Essex, including specialist peer support groups. 

Re-engage (Ipswich): 

Social gatherings and telephone befriending for older people. 

Soulshine Healing (Dereham and surrounds):

Peer support group for women facing personal challenges. 

Suffolk Family Carers:

Help and support for anyone of any age caring for a loved one in Suffolk. 

Suffolk Young People’s Health Project:

Drop-in service in Ipswich for children and young people aged 7-25 years old. Includes weekly youth groups in various Ipswich locations, including a Girls Group. 

The Art Station (Saxmundham and surrounds):

A creative hub providing community arts activities for all. 

The Mix (Stowmarket and surrounds): 

Youth clubs and mentoring for young people aged 8-18 years. 

The Seagull Theatre (Lowestoft):

A community theatre offering a variety of supportive, engaging activities for people of all ages, including a Girls Group and Dementia friendly workshops. 

Transforming Futures Suffolk:

Help and support for children who no longer live with their birth families. Includes advice and support networks for foster and adoptive families. 

Walton Parish Nursing (Walton, Felixstowe and surrounds):

Providing chair-based activity classes, counselling and financial advice to older people.
