If you are looking to take your retail career in a new direction in East Anglia, it is a really exciting time to join the East of England Co-operative Society. Our food retail business is performing strongly following investment into our food estate, focus on colleague engagement, operational standards and investment in new technology. The Society is also a leading innovator – gaining national coverage of our “Co-op Guide to Dating” initiative” to reduce food wastage and our multi-award winning Sourced Locally initiative.
As a Team Manager you will be an integral part of the store management team, jointly responsible for management of the store on a day to day basis and promoting a consistent and great customer experience. The role may require you to “get stuck in” and will include ordering, managing deliveries, till & cash management and ensuring the store is presented to the highest standards. It is predominantly about knowing your teams’ strengths, delegating jobs and making sure performance levels are maintained at an acceptable level. This will be achieved with the investment of training in you to gain leadership, development and engagement skills.
Whilst experience in retail is useful, team leadership skills and a great understanding of customer service is more important to us. Are you enthusiastic, have a drive to deliver excellent service standards, the confidence to make decisions and want to help create a great place to work? If this sounds like you, then we would love you to get in touch.
Our Team Managers will normally be expected to work a range of shifts that reflect the store’s opening hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays though everyone who works at the East of England Co-op has the opportunity to discuss flexibility for their working patterns please click here.
