As a Store Manager you will be responsible for promoting a consistent and great customer experience including a great store presentation; delivering Key Performance Metrics including turnover and profitability targets; and ensuring your store environment is safe and secure, for our colleagues and customers. This will all be achieved through your leadership, development and engagement of your store colleagues.  As a co-operative retailer we believe our business is for people and communities and not just for profit, therefore, your success will also be dependent on how you build strong relationships in the local community and increase membership engagement at your store.

We would love to hear from you if you have experience of developing and leading a retail store team whether in food or other sectors.  Our Store Managers will demonstrate strong commercial skills through awareness of the local market and competitive landscape and use that awareness to forecast and improve future business performance.  You will be comfortable working on the shop floor providing a visible presence to both customers and colleagues, as well as working with IT systems that support our retail operations including till, stock and colleague attendance and pay arrangements.

Our Store Managers will normally be expected to work a range of shifts that reflect the store’s opening hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays though everyone who works at the East of England Co-op has the opportunity to discuss flexibility for their working patterns please click here.
