Michael Davies, Funeral Repatriation
Taking their worries away.
Dealing with the death of a loved one in a foreign country is doubly distressing and the task of bringing them back home may seem immense.
It’s an awful situation for families who usually don’t know where to start. “So we take their worries away,” says Michael Davies of the East of England Co-op Funeral Services, an expert in repatriation and leading a team with 25 years’ experience of repatriation from the four corners of the globe.
“We give the advice and personal service that people want and need at a very difficult and emotional time. The relief we bring to these people is very evident and we’re pleased to be able to provide this.”
Michael and his team are on hand to make things as easy as possible and deal with everything required. They work with airlines and embassies, handle all the paperwork and necessary approvals which vary from country to country, deal with coroners and registrars, and manage transportation to the final place of rest.
“Our service works both ways. We bring people home to the UK from anywhere in the world but also get people back from here to their country of origin.
“We’re available 24 hours a day to answer queries or deal with any concerns. We can take care of everything and while the main repatriation is the big issue, it’s often the small, personal details that really help make things a little bit better for the relatives. And that’s what we do.”
