I have served on all four committees and am currently vice-chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. My career has included retail, public and voluntary sector work. Judi Newman - 2,728 Judi Newman - 2,728 Serving for 4 years As a current Director of the East of England Co-operative Society, I have been able to draw upon a wide range of previous Board experience from the charity sector, both as an executive Director and as a Board member/Trustee. I am currently the Development Director of St Elizabeth Hospice, responsible for major donor fundraising, marketing and communications and a new community development programme. Esme Cole - 2,310 Esme Cole - 2,310 Serving for 4 years Following a degree in economics, my career started as a commissioned officer in the British Army. Today I offer a breadth of experience spanning leadership and performance development, operations and change management, organisational development, coaching and consulting. My experience was gained in many industries, such as aviation, Olympic/Paralympic Games 2012, power generation and Transport for London and have worked on multiple domestic and international assignments. My varied experience has generated a flexible and creative approach to problem solving and the ability to manage complex relationships to build a collaborative environment. I complete a Master’s of Business Administration degree this year and hold project management and organisation design and development qualifications. Joy Burnford - 2,040 Joy Burnford - 2,040 Serving for 4 years I begin by thanking the Co-op for its commitment and support to the local community during the Covid crisis. My 20 years’ business and leadership experience includes: Serving as an executive director for three companies for the past 14 years, most recently for a professional development company, My Confidence Matters Ltd. Working for other membership organisations over a period of 10 years supporting Board directors. Six years as Chair of Kelvedon Primary Academy PTA, raising over £100,000 for the school and managing the annual fireworks display. Established Kelvedon St Mary’s Church toddler group in 2015 which is still thriving.
