Fairtrade

Fairtrade is an alternative to conventional international trade, which promises a stable price and a long-term trading relationship giving producers in developing countries a better deal.
As well as receiving a guaranteed price for their crop, Fairtrade growers receive a Fairtrade premium to invest in projects of their choice, such as water supplies, educational equipment and medical facilities.
The Co-operative Movement has been a supporter of Fairtrade since 1992, and Co-operative stores nationwide are proud to offer the UK’s widest range of Fairtrade products. All of the East of England Co-operative Society's food stores and supermarkets across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex offer Fairtrade products including bananas, chocolate, wine, coffee, and much more!
