How to arrange a funeral

Things to consider

We recommend you speak directly to your funeral director about how to arrange your funeral at your earliest convenience. They will be able to give immediate peace of mind by taking care of everything for you.

The role of the funeral director is to take care of practical arrangements for you at your time of need. This means advising you on the many options and choices available and seeing that arrangements are made in accordance with your wishes.

The funeral director will liaise with all other agencies on your behalf.

We have experience in arranging funerals across all religions and in organising non religious services. You will need to make early decisions about:

  • Always available for guidance and advice.
  • Available to visit you in the comfort of your own home
        at a convenient time.
  • whether it will be a burial or cremation?

  • where the service is to take place
        (church, crematorium chapel, cemetery, chapel,
        graveside, elsewhere)?
  • a choice of preferred dates as you may wish to avoid
        clashing with birthdays, anniversaries etc..
  • whether transport for mourners will be required?
  • do you want the funeral to start at a
particular address or meet at the place of service?
  • would you like a minister from a
particular denomination or a non-religious officiant
