Chance to find out more at Co-operative Funerals Open Days

The East of England Co-operative Society is hosting Information and Awareness Days at five of its funeral branches to give local people the chance to find out more about its bereavement services.

The Information and Awareness Days are being held between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 19th June at Wimpole Road, Colchester, St Stephen’s Square in Norwich, and the Meredith Greengrass branch in Stowmarket.  Two more open events take place between 10am and 2pm at the St. Andrew’s Road, Clacton-on-Sea and Northgate Street, Great Yarmouth branches a week later on Saturday 26th June.

These open days will offer local people – not just Society Members and customers – the chance to have a look around the funeral branches, and have a chat with Society colleagues who will be on hand to answer any queries. The events will be informal occasions and light refreshments will also be available.

There will be the opportunity to find out about the range of funerals on offer, and how these can be tailored to each individual’s needs from environmentally friendly funerals to motorcycle hearses.  For those wishing to plan ahead there will also be information available on the Society’s funeral bonds.

The Society is the largest independent retailer in East Anglia and is a leading bereavement services provider in the region with 29 funeral branches located across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

The Information and Awareness days take place during Co-operatives Fortnight (19th June to 3rd July) which is a new initiative across the UK aimed at promoting all kinds of co-operative ventures and activities, all with the key message that “There is an Alternative”. Events are taking place across the country including Members’ Events and Building Co-operative Awareness Days at venues in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
