Training Champions
With some 4,700 employees at stores, branches and offices over a trading area of some 2,000 square miles, we want to ensure that all of our colleagues get access to the training and development that they need.
We recognised that the best way to ensure all our colleagues get the training they need is to have dedicated trainers in each of our stores, and in autumn 2010 we launched our Training Champions programme.
Each East of England Co-op store and department now has a Training Champion, who will make sure that their colleagues get the training and development they need.
All our Training Champions will get the support of our Training Department, including our team of vocational trainers, the occupational training team and trainers of compliance courses.
This programme is part of our commitment to Building a Better Society, as well as fulfilling the Co-operative Principle of ‘Education, Training and Information for Members and Employees.’
